Weekend Xtra - Some Updates On What We Are Working On

Good morning everyone! I hope your weekends are going well.

I just wanted to take a second and let you know some of the things we are working on for the project.

First, our SBO consulting and technical programs are as strong as ever, as demand continues to grow. As always, if you are interested in volunteering, and have a field speciality, let us know. Along those same lines, if you need help, don't be afraid to ask. We will make time for you, though you may need to have a little patience.

Second, our informational branch will be expanding to a 3rd column in the near future, so stay tuned for that. I feel the new author(s) will provide very valuable information in a very specific arena of small business customer, which is often overlooked.

Third, we have started to mail/email/phone surveys, to rank various locations for small businesses in CNY. Notice how I said "small businesses", not business-friendly or economic development-friendly (smiling). I think it will be interesting for all of us to see what programs are out there, for real small businesses. I know certain counties, like a certain president's hometown, do absolutely nothing other than offer state programs. On the other hand, there are always those places you would have never thought of, which just blow you out of the water. Should offer some valuable insight.
